Michael G. Wilson is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Healthcare Highways and a recognized healthcare entrepreneur with more than four decades of experience building, scaling and leading innovative healthcare organizations.
Throughout his career, Michael has founded and developed multiple companies spanning provider networks, health benefits, third-party administration and pharmacy benefit management. His entrepreneurial track record includes PPO Oklahoma, Corporate Health Plans of America, Texas TrueChoice and Healthcare Highways Rx, which later became CerpassRx. These businesses were successfully acquired by strategic healthcare organizations, reflecting his longstanding ability to identify market opportunities and build solutions that create value for employers, providers, and healthcare partners.
Michael founded Healthcare Highways in 2010 with a vision to create a better healthcare model through stronger alignment among employers, health systems and providers. Under his leadership, Healthcare Highways has evolved into a diversified healthcare organization with capabilities spanning high-performance provider networks, health plan solutions and national healthcare partnerships.
Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Oklahoma, where he was a five-time NCAA All-American gymnast and NCAA national champion. He was selected to the 1980 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Team and continues to support the sport through his involvement with the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame and significant philanthropic support of the University of Oklahoma’s men’s and women’s gymnastics programs.
